Poster Presenter Guidelines
Poster Session Overview
The ISEC 2026 poster session provides an interactive forum for researchers, educators, clinicians, students, and practitioners to present original work related to embodied cognition, movement, neuroscience, education, health, and interdisciplinary applications.
To maintain a high-quality and engaging poster session, the total number of accepted posters will be limited to 30.
Eligibility & Scope
Poster submissions may include:
Empirical, theoretical, or methodological research
Pilot studies or program evaluations
Translational or applied work (e.g., education, rehabilitation, clinical practice)
Interdisciplinary or community-based projects related to embodied cognition
Both academic and practitioner-oriented posters are welcome.
Required Poster Template
All presenters must use the official ISEC poster template to ensure visual consistency and readability.

Poster Size & Format
Dimensions: 36 inches (width) × 48 inches (height)
Orientation: Portrait
Posters must be printed and brought to the symposium
Digital-only posters will not be accepted
Poster Content Guidelines
Posters should be designed for a multidisciplinary audience and emphasize clarity and visual communication. Recommended sections include:
Title, authors, and affiliations
Background / Rationale
Methods / Approach
Results / Key Findings
Discussion / Implications
Conclusions / Applications
Acknowledgments and references (as appropriate)
Presenters are encouraged to:
Use concise text and strong visual elements
Minimize technical jargon
Highlight practical, theoretical, and/or translational significance
Presentation Expectations
At least one author must be present during the assigned poster session
Presenters should be prepared to discuss their work with attendees from research, education, healthcare, and public audiences
Posters may be photographed by attendees unless otherwise indicated by the presenter
Submission & Acceptance
Please submit your poster file to kun.liu@yale.edu for review
Poster submissions will be reviewed by the ISEC 2026 Organizing Committee
Acceptance is competitive due to the 30-poster limit
Early submission is strongly encouraged
On-Site Logistics
Poster boards and mounting materials will be provided
Poster presentation time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, April 18, 2026
Set-up time: 10:00 AM, April 18, 2026
Removal time: by 5:30 PM, April 18, 2026
Posters not removed by the designated time may be discarded
